The
underlying geology of the Gold Discovery Project arise from the volcanic
eruptions that took place during the Miocene period (20-23 million years ago)
along a ridge of mountains that contain huge mineral deposits that have been
mined for many years in the region of Esmeralda County, Nevada known as the
Goldfield and Tonopah zones of volcanic vents.
Thus
far 5.9 million ounces of gold, 175 million ounces of silver and 7.7 million
ounces of copper have been removed from the area.
The
tremendous volumes of ascending fluids that created the bonanza of gold, silver
and lithium deposits of the Goldfield and Tonopah districts would have descended
down the flanks of the existing strato-volcanoes to accumulate and evaporate in
the adjacent “reserve pit” formed by the Cambrian rock dam know today as the
Paymaster Ridge. These fluids erupted for over one million years (USGS Bulletin
Number 1646).
Geologic
evidence suggests this natural basin existed at the time of the epithermal
mineralization and it is not difficult to imagine the massive paleo-evaporate
tabular ore concentration that may now underlie the placer accumulation.
During
the initial violent stages of the eruption, the potential of molten metals to be
ejected from the volcanic vents would have also been likely. To this date no
drilling has been done to test the bottom of the ‘reserve pit’ for
accumulation of metals that could be a world class deposit.

MURERS BACKGROUND:
Education: Graduate Geological
Engineering, Colorado School of Mines, 1956.
Christian
F. Murer is the Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the
Board of Amalgamated Explorations, Inc., a Denver based exploration company. Mr.
Murer has operated as an independent contractor for over 50 years in the oil and
gas and the mining exploration business in the Western United States. During the
1960s and 70s Mr. Murer was very active in the uranium mining business and did
business with Consumer Power Co., in Michigan, Union Carbide, Conoco, Exxon,
Union Oil, Gulf Oil, Phillips Petroleum and others. Mr. Murer was the original
claim discoverer for the Tony M Mine uranium mine in the Henry Mountains of
Utah. This claim block was the basis of the $100 million development by Plateau
Resources, Inc for uranium mining until the event at Three Mile Island which put
the mine on hold for the next 25 years. In 2003 Mr. Murer reacquired the claims
and made a deal with International Uranium Ltd (now Denison Mines. Ltd) to
reopen the mine. The Tony M Mine is generally recognized as one of the largest
uranium deposits in the United States and is now being operated by Denison
Mines.
Mr.
Murer has also pioneered one of the largest geothermal resources in the Western
United States and worked with California Energy to develop this resource.
Mr.
Murer is also generally credited with pioneering the geology in the Cave Gulch
Gas Field in Natrona County, Wyoming. Today, Cave Gulch is a major natural gas
production area for Barrett Resources Corp. (now Bill Barrett Corp).
Mr.
Murer has for the past 20 years been exploring Esmeralda County, Nevada for
gold, lithium and other precious minerals and has recently staked a number of
mining claims to develop his interests in the area.
